About the course
Discover and implement a whole-school approach for supporting learners with literacy difficulties. Our Pedagogy in Literacy Difficulties Action Course explores seven evidence-based pedagogical approaches for you to try in your classroom, helping you to respond to your learners’ needs flexibly and effectively.
This course will support you to work with colleagues to develop a ‘pedagogy on a page’ for your school which outlines how you will collectively improve support for learners with literacy difficulties and/or SEND. It will transform how you plan and deliver lessons, and you can be confident that your teaching practice is inclusive, evidence-based and adaptive to your learners’ needs.
Learn how to accurately pinpoint the areas where your learners are having difficulty, and discover new interventions, adjustments and approaches to use to support them.
Following this Action Course, you will:
- Have processes and resources that you can easily implement to raise standards in your classroom
- Understand evidence-based pedagogical approaches for learning
- Be able to identify additional scaffolds required by learners with literacy difficulties
